Weather for the week shows the Southern and Central parts of the state with evening and 
morning lows in the mid-50s and low 60s cooling down to the low 30s with daytime temps 
in the mid-50s to low 70s and cooling down to the low 50s. Rain is expected Thursday 
through Saturday and again on Monday. In the Northern areas freezing temps are expected 
Monday and Tuesday.

Growers are sending out all of their pecans that are not destined to be put into cold 
storage for sale. While prices are stabilizing, they are still a little low for growers 
that have export and retail gift quality pecans, and they are optimistic that will change 
after the New Year. Shellers and domestic buyers are busy grading and making offers along 
with the gift shop purchases preparing for the holiday sales. Some are still purchasing 
pecans from other sources. Export business is slow, but there are buyers looking to send 
some out overseas and negotiations are ongoing.

Small lots of Blends with Desirables (nut count 48-67) meat yield 48-54% sold in a range of 
about $2.27-2.83 mostly $2.45-2.65 per point. Stuart Blends of fair quality (nut count 53-75) 
meat yield 44-49% sold in a range of about $2.06-2.15 occasional lower per point, good quality 
(nut count 54-78) meat yield 47-55% sold in a range of about $2.42-2.88 mostly $2.45-2.65 
per point. Other Blends of fair quality (nut count 50-62) meat yield 48-52% sold for $1.63-2.06 
mostly $1.80 per point, good quality (nut count 54-64) meat yield 46-53% sold for $2.27-2.56 
per point. Large lots of Blends with Desirables (nut count 45-50) meat yield 50-52% sold in a 
range of about $2.45-2.83 mostly $2.45-2.60 per point, while Stuart Blends (nut count 48-78) 
meat yield 46-56% sold in a range of about $2.40-2.88 mostly $2.40-2.65 per point. Large lots 
of Schley Blends (nut count 65-75) meat yield 51-55% sold for $2.40-2.50 per point and other 
large lots of Blends (nut count (50-60) meat yield 47-48% sold in a range of about $2.40-2.63 
per point.

Prices paid to growers (late afternoon Tuesday, November 17, 2020 through late afternoon 
Tuesday, November 24, 2020) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct 
sales to end users, cents per pound in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 
pounds or less unless otherwise stated.
